Meet Dr. Robert M. Pickering
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
A graduate of the University of Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, Dr. Pickering received certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1994.
Dr. Pickering was a resident physician at a local clinic from 1992 to 1996 and completed an internship at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in 1991. He was a clinical instructor and assistant professor of orthopedics at the Campbell Clinic.
Dr. Pickering has received numerous hospital appointments, including work with the Midtown Surgery Center, Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto, Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, and the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. He was recognized with a Dean's Student Summer Research Fellow for his work investigating the properties of synthetic bone grafts at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
During his career, Dr. Pickering has been a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the J.T. & Mary Davis Medicine Scholarship. Dr. Pickering is married and has one son.
